Let’s Recap WPEFC’s 2024 Accomplishments
02/01/2025
This year, the Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation of Canada achieved incredible milestones in restoration, conservation, and education. Here’s what we accomplished together:
82,700 disease-resistant seedlings planted
5,900 cones collected
132 hectares of ecosystem restored (that’s 247 football fields!)
300+ tree health assessments conducted
From planting disease-resistant Whitebark and Limber Pines to developing extensive spatial restoration plans, we collaborated with First Nations, government partners, and engaged our community through volunteer events and social media to protect these vital ecosystems. We also strengthened our organization, hiring new staff, securing additional funding, and streamlining operations to support 18 active projects.
These achievements are thanks to our amazing partners, funders, volunteers, staff, and supporters. Together, we’re making a real impact for Whitebark and Limber Pine ecosystems across Canada!
