November 6–8, 2026 | Banff, Alberta

The Whitebark Pine Ecosystem Foundation of Canada (WPEFC) is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us at the Banff Mountain Film & Book Festival!

We’ll be hosting an outreach and merchandise table throughout the festival, connecting with outdoor enthusiasts, sharing the importance of whitebark and limber pine conservation, and raising awareness about our restoration work across Canada.

This is a great opportunity to support five-needle pine conservation, meet like-minded people, and be part of an exciting mountain community event!

Volunteer Opportunities

Location: Kinnear Centre, 2nd Floor, 107 Tunnel Mountain Drive, Banff, AB

Volunteers will help with:

  • Engaging with festival attendees and sharing information about whitebark and limber pine conservation.
  • Promoting WPEFC’s conservation initiatives and membership opportunities.
  • Assisting with merchandise sales.
  • Supporting booth setup, organization, and teardown.

No previous experience is required! We’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic individuals who enjoy connecting with people. WPEFC will provide the information and guidance needed to feel confident during your shift.
